Jessica Booth, MRSS
Freelance Writer, Doula, Shiatsu Practitoner, Flower Essence Consultant, Reiki Master
Growing up in California, I have had lifelong experience of the benefits of various complementary therapies. It was only after moving to the UK, however that my interest turned to a career. I am now based part time in both the UK and the States.
I first trained with Reiki 1 in 2006, on the wild and beautiful island of Anglesey. Following the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage, I completed the Reiki 3 in 2008. In that time, I also began training as doula under the guidance of Nurturing Birth and training with the Shiatsu College of Manchester in their intensive 3 year program.
I became a fully recognised birth doula in 2010 and have also completed further training to teach antenatal classes and as a breastfeeding peer supporter with the ABM & Nurturing Birth. I am the North Wales Regional Rep for Doula UK.
I graduated from the Shiatsu College in 2010 as well as completed a Post Graduate year of study in 2011 and have a flourishing practice in the seaside towns of Pwllheli and Abersoch. I am a Member of the Register of Shiatsu Society ( MRSS)
Most recently, following a clear call from the plant kingdom, I have completed training as a flower essences practitioner with Essentially Flowers and training to make products with Aromavision Essential Oils.
I participate in professional development in all three fields and feel that the journey is a lifelong commitment to helping people live healthier lives through bodywork & vibrational medicine.
Living in a seaside community, I have seen clients with a wide range of sports injuries. I also work with women in helping to support their natural cycles, whatever life stage they are at.
My love of nature and work with children and families has lead me to write children’s relaxation meditations. My essences also reflect this deep connection to nature, our essential life rhythms and the soul’s path. Each one has been made with the clear intention to support people on their journey to wholeness and wellbeing.
